Yes. Similarly, IIRC, the best newcomer (did the trophy ever resurface?) and unfortunate Scotsman. I only intended my post to be a suggestion for Rob's consideration. Edited by Adrian Setter - 25 August 2010 at 3:22pm |

At the end of last season I passed the newcomer trophy back, I think to Heather, as I was not going to Hog Hill and named Neil Hood as winner. I suspect he has the trophy.

Thanks, Barney. That means it did resurface: I'm sure it was the newcomers' trophy that was missing for 2 or 3 years.

Sounds like we need a new one. Perhaps could be presented by Howard to this year's winner (could be amusing if he ends up presenting it to himself, but never mind that ...)
Any volunteers for something creative ? Edited by rob gillions - 25 August 2010 at 10:33pm |

As the initiator and maker of the trophy, Rob is right. He chooses, but of course he can consult. It was originally intended for new home builders, so you could only win it once, but that has not continued. I think Mick is a good candidate, but if Lee didn't win it for the Correx fairing, I think he should have. Geoff has been somewhat on the bridge between homebuilder and manufacturer, but then I contract out the composite work when I can.
Mick might be a good candidate for the newcomers trophy too. Is he well up in the multitrack?

It was in my house after it was awarded some years ago. I searched and can't find it. I thought gNick took it but he says he didn't. I have something very much like it. Mike B had 2 made, one of which wents slightly wrong - though I don't know how you could tell. He awarded it to me for Brighton 2001. I awarded him an extremely large gobstopper, but it didn't work.
