Would you also be wanting to have a go with the 349 drive wheel complete with 8 speed cassette - the experiment has been tried successfully before - will try to bring both wheels next weekend if you want to have a go.

That would be fantastic Barney, my purchase of friction shifters may well have been a smarter idea than expected then!

It'll be massively undergeared with a 60t driving a 349 but I'm more interested in the handling changes with different wheels than anything else.

They are certainly not showing their ugly heads at the moment, everything is working fine. Possibly something to do with background noise at the track but without going back I can't tell.

I'll be at Scunthorpe so let us hope that the tag faeries are on our side this time!

Are you planning to be at Shrewsbury gNick? If not is it ok if I observe the workings in a most Befuddled Manner whilst at Scunthorpe? I can be of use in future then rather than sweating heavily post race as I always do.

I'm not sure about Shrewsbury - definitely not Fowlmead.
Help would be greatly appreciated, I will be rewriting the instructions this week so you will have something to refer to as well.

There is apparently still nobody to lead the organising of this event... Which is now only 3 days away...

A good day was had by all I think,  once we actually got access to the track!
Thanks to all those who helped with organisation, notably Adrian, Andy, gNick, Andrew.

For those who weren't there - we tried a new format - a ten minute plus 1 lap race. This was because we didn't have time for a true time trial as we were late getting onto the track. I think 10 minutes worked really well on the velodrome but it would be interesting to hear from others. For those who didn't like it - it was Barney's idea!!

Note: we also did a 40 minute plus one lap just to be traditional.

Thanks to all for organising and stuff! Next time i offer to help i will do more, but after making more changes to Wobbly i needed track time!

I found the 10 minute then 40 minute interesting in so much as i found the 10 minute more tiring than the 40 minute, i don't think i would like to do it too often, but as a variant, yes!

Positions look ok from what i remember (fast race(s))

Thanks to the workers for making it happen yesterday.  I did like the 10min+1 very much.

Anyone with pictures is encouraged to post links please as my family album needs more bite.
