I have been considering the possibility of riding a recumbent on rollers for indoor training and practice purposes, but I’m not sure it’s possible.Has anyone done it or at leat tried it.

I've seen it done by Jürg Birkenstock, so it is technically possible, but an ordinary turbo trainer is a lot easier to learn...

Probably works better if it's a trike :)

Yes, it's possible.  I've ridden on rollers myself.

In my case it was possibly harder than it needed to be, because I was riding a FWD 20/20 low racer that required using the rollers back to front, with the single one at the rear and the pair up front.  This had the tendency to make steering corrections somewhat challenging.  I had it figured out in a couple of days.

I use to ride a Fujin SL-II on rollers.  It was rather nerve wracking, but it can be done.

Thanks for the benefit of your experience and confirming that it can be done. I’m an old guy who is pretty new to riding a two wheel recumbent and apart from the basic skill needed I lack the confidence gained by getting out there and riding. The main problem in doing that is finding somewhere in the near vicinity that is relatively traffic free. Hence the thought that riding rollers would at least help to improve the instinctive sense of balance needed. I will at least give it a try.
