Katanga WAW #333 for sale with custom paint job and high specifications. St Andrews, Fife, Scotland.

This velomobile is great for maintenance (as the nose and tail come off), and can fit a wide variety of people due to the seat & boom design. I'm 6'4 and can fit in, even with the hood closed and foot hole covers in place.

Specs:
  • Year of manufacture: 2017
  • Long nose (N1) with 2 lights, no SPAI. T3 tail with rear suspension (coil/air with adjustable rebound and lockout). Full aramid/carbon body, nose & tail.
  • Extras - also comes with: spare race hood, spare manhole cover, new electronics circuit board (spare) from Katanga, custom designed cover from Radical Design
  • 2x Ventisit seat cushion (single layer, and dual layer)
  • 90mm SA drum brakes
  • 20" (406) front wheels, 26" (559) rear.
  • Custom artwork by DarkCustom http://darkcustom.co.uk
  • Gearing: currently 56/42/28T triple up front, 11-36 on rear (have also used 11-34)
  • Thorn 127mm cranks
  • SRAM TT bar end shifters
  • Jagwire brake and shifter cables
Reason for sale:
  • It's a great velomobile, with very high quality fit & finish. Unfortunately it doesn't fit into the lift that I have to take on my commute, so I end up using my old Alleweder instead which does fit. As a result, the WAW hasn't had so much use since lockdown finished...
  • I am the 2nd owner - first owner was in Wales. I got it delivered by a man in a van for £400 (as this was just at the start of lockdown).

£5500 ono

Velomobiles are an unusual site on the roads. This one is even more striking - the previous owner was an Avengers fan. You will get comments!

Phil

The WAW is still available. The battered old Alleweder is getting all the use - as it fits in the lift on my way to work.
