Hi All and best wishes for the New Year

My son is now fully converted to the 'dark side' and has fallen in love with my Bacchetta Highracer. Sadly it remains my favourite steed (so he can't have it :D) and there would appear to no UK based Bacchetta dealer.

Some bikes have come up on Ebay, a Pelso Brevet, a Performer Saki and a first generation Corsa but test rides and/or shipping are an issue as we are in deepest darkest Devon.

We are still pursuing these options but (just on the off-chance) I thought I'd ask if anyone within striking distance of Exeter has a highracer they are prepared to part with?

Many thanks

Stradageek

I have a Bacchetta High Racer and I will part with it for a reasonable amount. It is in very good condition and I have used for last few years only on a Turbo trainer indoor for a couple of times. I have used it on BHPC races from 2016 to 2019 I believe, when I have acquired a Pelso Brevet. You can find a lot of pictures on the BHPC races events from that time.
If you are interested send me a Private Message, so I could provide you details and pictures. There are options for the frame only or for everything with drivetrain and even wheels.

I've got a Metabike high racer for sale

I'm afraid that I've never been to any of the BHPC races, so you won't have seen this one in action. (I'm a slow rider, somewhat anti-social, and also live a long way from all the races!)

Many thanks Phil, I've often fancied a Metabike for myself but I'm at my n+1 limit at the moment.

I've just purchased the Bacchetta Giro that John messaged about.  Picked it up on Saturday and my son rode away on it this afternoon looking pleased as punch.

Thanks again for the offer but I think we're sorted for now

Cheers

Crawford

Congrats - I'm glad you found what you needed.
Well done for turning your son to the recumbent side -my son decided to rebel by using in-line skates to commute!
