Once again we are in need of a generator for the races at Rhyl, which doesn't have any power near the track for our timing system. If you have a generator which you are able to bring to Rhyl then please let us know as soon as possible.

The power requirements are pretty modest but a reasonably stable voltage is appreciated by the tag-reader.

Hi Dan/Kim. I am unlikely to be able to leave until 9am on Saturday which means I'll definitely miss the 4 lap race.
I may get there in time for the fast version - assume I can just enter that if I'm there in time?
I'll be there in time for the 50 min race on the basis this is due to begin at 3pm still?

Yeah, that should be okay.

Kim

I'd better own up there's a mistake in todays 50 minute race results, I faffed around at the start for a whole lap helping Russ before I got going so I should be one whole lap behind Simon Watson et al, I think that you or the system has generously given me an extra lap.

Okay, fixed that. If I can persuade it to upload. My mother in law has terrible WiFi...

Personally, a traumatic weekend in Rhyl. Thank you to whoever it was who looked after me when all I could do was scream and cry. Fiona I think. And thank you to Dave Minter, Andy Forey and Barney for stirling work with clear tape and a roll of industrial grade cling film, sourced from the tip down the road.

Actually the barrier to the car park ate my rear screen when I tried to drive under it with the tail gate up!

For those interested we arrived home at 5pm with no further incident.

Heather

PS. and in the good news it only rained briefly once while we were there waiting to go into the car park

Because I was posting from a phone with Welsh signal earlier and didn't add links:

Results are available at  https://www2.bhpc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/Events/2023/06/" rel="nofollow - https://www2.bhpc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/Events/2023/06/  and points at  https://www2.bhpc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/Events/2023/06/rhyl.html" rel="nofollow - https://www2.bhpc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/Events/2023/06/rhyl.html
The overall championship table is at  https://www2.bhpc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/Events/2023/BHPC_2023.html" rel="nofollow - https://www2.bhpc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/Events/2023/BHPC_2023.html

In the interests of clarity, all race results and times should be available from the "2023 Races" page, as found on the "Events & Results" menu of the BHPC website:  https://www2.bhpc.org.uk/events/2023-2/" rel="nofollow - https://www2.bhpc.org.uk/events/2023-2/
The format will be slightly different for previous years, as the software used to produce them has evolved.

CMO now completely detraumatised:

Much kudos to whoever rescued the 'Ford' badge from the debris - they don't come with replacement screens and the Autoglass man was very impressed that we still had it.

Surprisingly difficult to fix was the wiper arm. What you see is a Frankenwiper cobbled together from bits of the original and two so-called 'compatible' replacements.

Once again many thanks to all at Rhyl who came together and helped get us back on the road.
