Neither I nor the Young Lady are riding it this time. First time we have skipped it while we were in the country since 2001.

My son Rob Glen (BHPC no 164) is doing it. He is also doing the "Race around the Netherlands" in April, and the "coast to coast to coast" in July. Any other BHPC members doing these?

Stuart

Two upright delta tricycles - Myself and Dan Howard - we are starting together, maybe staying together.

I've been promoted to “Special Forces” which sounds a lot more glamorous than it probably is and likely doesn’t involve traversing large swathes of enemy territory while pursued by a homicidally-inclined army.

Missed seeing you en route but did clock you getting your mugshots done by Aunty Charlotte in the wee smalls today.

Not sure if Graham Sparey-Taylor is on here these days but without him the Hessle control could have turned into a disaster

I only saw 11 recumbents and 3 velomobiles this year, far less than previous years which was somewhat disappointing. Did not recognise any as being BHPC regulars. One of the previous years I counted 34, so less than a third, despite a higher entry limit.

Wow that is a very high DNF rate!

The route wasn't exactly velomobile friendly, chapeau to the one that finished.

Concentrating on UK velomobile riders, as far as I know there's only me doing regular audaxes (and I haven't done that many this year)!

I saw the silver Elliptigo and the green Challenge both heading south at Hessle; looks like the former packed at Boston and I guess the latter was touring back towards London. Likewise for the QV, which I directed onto the Humber Bridge on Wednesday morning.

I think Dan Howard started on upright trike but finished on a bike.

The husband of fellow volunteer Ina Grewe does own a recumbent (purchased from Veloladen in Bergisch Gladbach, haunt of the notorious Fehlau brothers) but rode an upright on LEL.
