Hi All,
For those that are coming to Derby on Saturday 23rd, we have the track booked from 12 till 3pm.

Please arrive in good time - we should be allowed to enter and take machines in before that.
We will need to get everybody checked in and ready to go as soon as possible.

There will be a track coach who will give everybody a briefing and then there will be a chance to practice on the banked circuit.

The field will be split into two (nominally fast/slow) and we hope to give everybody two 20 minute races.

Please not that the second races may need to be shortened if we have any incidents that interrupt procedings.

Enjoy the racing everyone. As much as I'd like to be there I won't as I spent too much time recovering form a rotator cuff injury and didn't think I'd be fit enough. Turns out I might have been after all!

When you get to Derby please find Heather who will be checking people in - IF YOU ARE NOT INTENDING TO RIDE PLEASE LET US KNOW AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE AS WE HAVE A FEW PEOPLE COMING ALONG, HOPING TO TAKE ANY PLACES THAT BECOME AVAILABLE.

For those that have paid but cannot ride Heather may be able to issue a refund subject to the cost of the event being covered (ie no cost to the club). Heather's decision on this will be final.

You will be allocated to either the slower or faster group.
PLEASE don't ask to be changed from one to the other. Organising at Derby is always tight for time as we only have the track for 3 hours in total.

Just been warned of the below expenses from another forum:
Entry to the arena is a quid, but you can get that back in the cafe against a drink, car parking is £3.

I am not sure if the above charges will apply to racers.

web site says car parking charges only apply during events, I know we're kind of special, but unless our press/advertising secretary has pulled all the stops out I don't think we're special enough to be called "an event", and Derby County aren't at home today.

(won't we be sneaking in through the back doors like we normally do?)

There has never been a requirement to pay before when we've been there.
We'd better check when we get there though - don't want people picking up fines in a Betteshanger sort of way.
