Hi everyone,

Having done a load of research on t'internet, am thinking of getting my hands on a velomobile mango plus from sinner cycles....but before I spend ages saving up my pennies, does anyone in the club already own one that I could see / have a ride in?

Also, what else should I be considering, this is for a mix of commuting (hopefully with dog in bed behind the driver hence the Mango as it has a decent load area here), would also obviously like to race it if possible...thoughts please.....

Good on yer... Might not want to give it back though... Big smile
Wish you were bringing it to Bruntingthorpe on Saturday - would be really interesting to see how it goes against the pedal cars.

imho it is not setup for the short track racing as per BPCC right now so although dang good on areo would not fair well.
i hope later in the year to test on long distance open road with electro over-drive pack. perhaps next year against the BPCC ;-)

Sam, as far as i'm aware there are no Mango's in the UK, but I might be wrong, I usually am!

But if you want to see a few I have a spare seat in my car going over to Cyclevision at the end of June, I'm sure there will be a few Mango sports there.  Probably Harry who works at Sinner will be there too, he normally races!  In fact you will be able to see all types of velo's!

I'm not too sure about space for a dog though!  I have seen them on riders laps but not in the back!  Best have a look at Fards' Quest on Sunday to get an idea as to the layout.

As for racing the Quest beats a Mango due to better aerodynamics, but day to day Mango better for tight turns and if storage space is tight.

Would be lovely to have a quattro....especially as I live so close to High Wycombe, maybe a could get a job at Miles' workshop and build as I earn......?????

@ Yanto, hmmm, tempting, clash with Dunwich Dynamo though....but never say never, will talk more.

Do you think it would be ok strength-wise in a pedal car race? We do tend to have a fair bit of... er... contact... Big smile

Hummm I think might be the other way round, think we might roll over you and, cos of the all wheel suspension, think it was just a rough track ;-)
