Those of you that have read the current issue of the magazine (now available in the shop for non-members) will have seen that Geoff pointed out that Richard's blog has not been updated on the BHPC web site for some time...
The gubbins to automatically update it still seemed to be there but wasn't working so I have now pointed Richard's link on the community page directly to his blog...

I think Richard probably used to update it manaully Alan. Anyway, thanks for putting in the link - should be much to interest and amuse BHPC members there. Richard also includes a link to a new blog by Bob Knight, another ex-BHPC racer who moved to New Zealand.

Thanks, Messrs Goodman and Bird.
I have asked occasionally to be allowed back, but so far haven't been able to add posts to the BHPC site so now I rather furtively update it only on Blogger. Not sure who it was I was asking, but at present I find I can't log on at all. - I think it's to do with was the Christchurch earthquake, which was zackly 1 year ago as of tomorrow. There's this sort of delayed electronick seismic thingy, so when large cities suddenly get shaken to bits not only does everyone rush to the supermarkets to see if the toilet rolls have all fallen off the shelves (they have), but also the electrons that work the computers  abruptly reverse their polarities and then they won't fit down the tube that connects them to Engerland. If it corrects itself I shall resume posting. I did, as you surmise, update it manaully, and I still update the Blogger version manaully as well.
Mr Knight's blog is to be found - if I can get this right - that's the trouble with manaul things - here http://www.geared-facile.blogspot.com/ and I can't get it right because that pop-up box thing telling me I can insert a hyperlink keeps telling me I'm a computer moron, which is, unf., a truth universally acknowledged. If I were Mr Larrington I might be provoked into using the word pesky. (I am not, however, Mr Larrington. Mr Larrington is Mr Larrington.)(Just to clear the matter up.)

On the subject of wrestling with The Code, it seems there are very few people here who know how to insert a link unless they are having the same problems as Richard. All you have to do is select the URL in your message, click on the little world-with-a-chain-link symbol at the top of the message composing box and click 'OK' - thus: http://www.geared-facile.blogspot.com/" rel="nofollow - http://www.geared-facile.blogspot.com/    Saves peple having to copy and paste the URL.

I also couldn't see how to edit my community page, but maybe I've got confused about my password.

It may be that you need to be added to a different user group on the main site to edit those pages.
Probably one for Keith to have a look at?

As per Richard's request yesterday, clicking his name on the community page of the main web site will again take you directly to his entertaining and informative blog...
