Filter-foam seat pad: £5  Made of low-density reticulated foam used for water filters. Shaped to fit a Dalli Lowracer but easy to cut to fit other seats (since you're very unlikely to have a Dalli). 45mm thick x 890mm long x 215-300 wide I can take it to most races this season (except Hog Hill), and Cyclevision.
