Rare opportunity to purchase one of a handful of Munzo tilting trikes and unique in the UK.
I collected the trike in a sorry state, missing its remote steering assembly and generally neglected. I totally stripped it down and rebuilt with new or cleaned parts as required, I also upgraded to an Sram 10 speed gear set up. I thoroughly enjoyed the mechanical aspects of stripping down and rebuilding, my ultimate aim was to construct a full fairing for it. However, when riding it, it soon became apparent that my chronic Labyrinthitis which is part of my hearing problems was not playing ball making riding it unsafe for me and others due to wobbling when correcting my poor balance and tendency to veer to the left. Specs: 406 wheels with brand new 28mm tyres 57t chainring, brand new chain and 10 speed cassette 28-11 Brand new cables Brand new rear wheel bearings Brand new self aligning bearing for return idler Brand new 10 speed trigger shifter re-used original aluminium boom Upgraded tilt mechanism now with true 1:1 actuation of tilt and wheel alignment Fox air shock on rear Mike Burrows extended tiller I also have a longer steel boom, original tyres (front still fitted), 2 more new rear wheel bearings, one spare return idler bearings. The 9 speed bar end shifter and 9 speed cassette is included. I also have the extended portion that would be where the steering/handlebars would attach, as this is not structural it could bolted back on if remote steering where to be re-introduced. It has also been ridden with superman bars. There is an unwritten request from Nick Marshall whom I first bought Munzo from that if selling within the club then it should always be at a price at or below he sold it to me, that was £650, I would like to keep that understanding and am only looking to recoup the costs of refurbishment if possible. I can deliver for price of fuel. Ian ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited by Yanto - 02 March 2025 at 6:56am |
