I'm off work today due to a pretty nasty stomach bug so I might while away the time looking at the results again, tis practice after all. Any chance someone could send a copy of the signing on sheet at all?

You should be able to download it from the race organisers area on the main web site. If not PM me an email address and I'll send it to you.

Right, I've processed the first video, here's the results I've got for the fast race. Times won't match those from the tags, they won't be as accurate seeing as I'm working to the second and no more.

Thanks Paul - Just gone back and redone the tag times and using using the new tag processing sheet - chose a start and end time for the race of 4457, and 8185. When I run that I get a match for all entries except Eddie (who I have as 14). So the Tag data is correct (and agrees with the results above - I think I have a problem with versions here (I think the above was corrected once - will make the updates. Apologies

As if to prove that and this was the one I posted originally - I had posted it onto my site - and haven't changed it since then. Have updated the second race as well. I have sent the updates to Neil
Thanks for pointing it out Andrew. |

Good stuff then. Doing results from the video certainly makes me understand why tags should make life easier!

Fun isn't it! At least now you can do it in front of a computer, it is even worse on a telly from a low resolution video (as in tape) camera. |

There was some confusion at Lancaster about exactly when we were supposed to push the button on the master tag. Also, it would be reasuring to know the button has been pushed. In the ideal world I guess an indicator light would be good, but I'm sure, like when you get a new phone, it'll all become second-nature to us soon.
The unallocated tags at Lancaster (mine and Graham's) were because the battery went flat on the laptop! Many thanks to all who helped sort out the results. Edited by GeoffBird - 17 August 2010 at 11:39pm |

For Clarification - The master tag should be pushed as you start the race. with the 'gun' and at the end of the race Just before the winner crosses the line. So long as we know something like (I was slightly late starting (or finishing) or I pressed it twice - then that would be useful.
As for the LED - that is a fair point - we can look at how we get it built into the tag in future.
