I'm looking for either a cheap and cheerful or a quality, lightweight two wheel SWB high racer or similar.
I am open to both FWD, rwd, MBB or fixed BB, homebuilt or manufactured.

Something akin to a kingcyle, M5 or performer highracer.

Ideally two 26" or 700c wheels, but main consideration is good visibility on trafficnand a reasonable weight ( have to carry up stairs)
Pm me if you have something available or know where to look .

Thank you.
Its life jim, but not as we know it.

I have a Kingcycle which may be surplus to requirements. Where are you based.
Best wishes
Philip

Hello I also have a small Kingcycle which needs a new home, selling with or without tailbox. But I see that you have already been offered one! John

Kingcycles obviously don’t have 2 wheels the same size, but I would imagine are easy in traffic, and possibly better at getting up stairs, ( minus tailbox)
2 equally large wheels, present the problem of being able to reach the ground whilst seated, without having to sit upright every time, because the exact moment that You need to stop, can’t always be accurately judgedCry .
Also I might suggest that a ‘high racer would be more problematic at getting up stairs, especially if there are landings / doorways to contend with.
Apart from the 2 Kingcycles on here, there is a 26” ‘ 'ORCA' high racer with rear suspension, and a dual 20” Challange mistral, ( quite a fast bike I’ve heard), on e bay. I lived in a first floor flat for years, and the stairs had a landing, with a door at 90 deg, then another long landing at 90 deg again. I used to carry my MTB up there and down every day, and it was awkward, especially as trying to take the bike down was harder than taking it up, and it also meant turning the bike around to come down front first. Depending on your staircase, the smaller the better, I would say.  Best of luck.

Keep an eye out for a Velomotion Scopa. I have one. They can be configured how you want. The good thing is with the suerman type bars sitting up when stopping or negotiating very tight turns and traffic is not a problem.
