Just wondering who would be upto going to the Monza world championships and if anyone would be interested in sharing transport, maybe a minibus or 7 seat car and a van for the bikes. Distance from Rotterdam is about 700 miles which would take about 11 hours of continuous driving plus breaks thus ideally we would need 3 drivers per vehicle if done in one day or we could find accommodation at an intermediate point.

Info on the worlds website is still a bit thin but it looks like the first race on the friday is about 3pm so we could do the bulk of the milage on the thursday and finish off the jouney on the friday morning to aim to arrive for about noon.

Please reply if you would be intrested in going and if you would want to do some driving.
Port of departure could be chosen based on where most of the riders are based.
Current fleet: Milan SL MK2 #027, Fujin SL II, Beany!

Yes, I am interested in going. jdub is my alta ego. From our conversations today, it looks like you me and Mike B in a van. How are you about hiring the van? Makes more sense than me driving up for you guys. I have a clean driving license and fully comp insurance. Should cover me driving the van, but the company will want to see my licence and insurance. If you do the van hire, I will tackle getting us sur la continent.

A comprehensive description there Lee!  I think the van with no name should be called Ford, not Prefect but Transit....Big smile

Are we representing England or Great Britain?

Hmmm, both. Well hopefully I will have my new paint job by the time we depart which will incorperate a union jack so Great Britain I'd say. I'm not too sure about stourport now though, just incase I stack it on one of those hairpins and mess up my new (expensive, but not as expensive as that guy with the taramvelo birk comet) paint job.
