Well not quite the course that I thought it was - unless some major work is done I don't see much reason to return. I think that I will take a closer look at any new circuit before booking it in the future.

Thanks to all who helped out with the organisating, particularly Heather, Anne and Anne. Also to all who helped out with our little tyre surplus problem...

On a positive side the timing system that we were testing (again) worked spot on, apart from mis-recording Ian, which is likely to be how the transponder was mounted relative to the bike metalwork. Alternatively it could just be giving the rest of us a sporting chance! The system had no trouble in picking up both of the transponders mounted on the Fish so bunch recording isn't a problem.

Lee W has just pointed out on another thread that I'm listed as being on the Hurri at Lincoln in the race although on the Kingcycle in the overall results...

I was actually on the Kingcycle.

I promise I'll try to avoid confusing everybody by turning up on the same bike each time next year...

By the way, whoever put the two races together at Lincoln did a splendid job of getting the balance right

Just about everybody in the fast race was faster than everybody in the slow race (except the pedal car).

The girls got it right, as they usually do, for which we should be eternally grateful.

Can I have some cake now?
