Does anyone have any tips for removing the steerer column from a kingcycle, before I attempt it. I'm assuming it is held in by the brake bolt, plus corrosion probably.

Mine came out in the usual way for a quil stem. Undo the allen bolt at the top, hold the front wheel between your legs then twist and pull. If that doen't do it, pour WD40 on it and retire to the pub. Try again later and repeat as necessary. Mine had drum brakes though but I don't think the hydraulic Magura ones hold the stem in place.

I meant the fork steerer extension. The alloy bit the quill stem fits in.
