He was trying to blag a tailbox to copy ages ago. Not sure what it's a copy of or what it will fit. |

Well very surprised by these negative comments. I will be getting one tomorrow to have a look at and trial all being well and will do a right up on it im sure it can be adapted to fit many bikes .I have had many conversations with Paul the owner of the company who was happy to give it a go making a few recumbent parts as a trial at quite an exspence to himself as there does`nt seem to be many people or companies in the uk making anything like this except one of small ones that cost or well out of the range of us average Jo`s
As the alternative is something from Europe for silly money .its certainly a far cry from a piece of correx taped to the back . Maybe it may turn out to be unsuitable maybe it will be good don`t know until you try

I think the reason a lot of people were (and still are) unhappy with him was that he was openly asking to borrow people's fairings/tailboxes so that he could make moulds and then produce them commercially, ripping off the original designs.
The problem is that somebody spent a lot of time, effort and money making the originals (which will be why the originals are fairly expensive). If he had just wanted to make one for himself most people would probably have turned a blind eye, but he is doing this commercially, stealing other people's designs. If he had made it from scratch himself then there would be no problem. Personally I hope nobody buys them from him and supports the original manufacturers instead. The nosecone of his that I saw at Fowlmead was heavy and very poor quality, so anybody parting with £250 for this, when he doesn't even indicate what it would fit is likely to be very disappointed. |

I dont think that was his intention at all as the design of the tail box is primarily a pacific shape and only varies in size to what every bike or trike it might fit.All designs are copied some improved by the next person some trashed .I bring out a tool tomorrow and some toe rag in china will have a better one on the market in a week ten times cheaper! .I had one of the front fairings a few years back they wer`nt ace but they were a piece of old plywood strapped to a broom handle either.Im not trying to stand up for the guy but give people a chance who give it a go .As he is a replicator of panel's for such as classic cars and bikes scooters etc not a designer of recumbent areo pannels.
so tell me where i can go to buy a rear tail box lets say in the UK of the shelf where i don`t need a second mortgage to buy |

Even the Novosport fairings which are very good quality aren't much more expensive that this (in fact with the current state of the Euro they might well work out cheaper!) Do you know which tailbox he copied to make the mould for this one?? |
