Race sign-on for the 6th event of 2023 at Rhyl March Tracks starts on
  • Thursday 29th June for BHPC members
  • Thursday 6th July for non-members
Advance registration is essential (no registration on the day) and available online here:
Registration closes 12:00noon on Thursday 13th July

Twed has had to pull out due to illness, so Sunday's racing will be organised as a joint effort by me (1-lap time trial) and Heather (90-minutes +1 lap).  I've made up some reasonable start times and added them to the race day page, but we may move things around a bit on account of Weather.

For the time trial, we're going to try out the Shiny! New! CrossMgr feature that allows us to start TT riders manually, while using the RFID system for the finish.  This should avoid the need for cat-herding everyone and their helmet out of range of the finish line before we can start the race.

I think I got the mostly-tidied results to upload earlier. I have the points tables done but am failing to upload them as FTP keeps timing out.

Known issues: Simon Watson's bike (fixed on my local copy), query number of laps ridden by Russell after he restarted without the lid and before I shouted at Natalya that he wouldn't have tags.

Great day of racing everyone, and glad the rain held off. I'm now collapsing in a fish&chips coma...

Ah, finally got it to upload.  Really hard to tell if this is a server-side issue, or dodgy routing or something.  This connection (provided by MIL's posh caravan park, no doubt at great expense) seems reasonably fast, until suddenly and without warning it isn't.

I should say, I've gone for a 30:70 split for today's points.

I set yesterday's to 50:50 - let me know if I should change it.

I think there was only one pass by Russell before you yelled to Natalia. He should be able to confirm with his GPS track.

I was doing steady 1:40 laps until my right leg locked up with cramp and I stopped / fell over.
My strava has one lap at 6:44, then five laps at around 2:05

In the interests of clarity, all race results and times should be available from the "2023 Races" page, as found on the "Events & Results" menu of the BHPC website: https://www2.bhpc.org.uk/events/2023-2/
The format will be slightly different for previous years, as the software used to produce them has evolved.
