Topic: Racing - not racing Posted: 03 March 2005 at 6:26pm |
hello all
Boo chiz and not happy person here. The Doc has officially informed me that I should not be racing at Newport since I have done something very unpleasant to my ankle and he thinks it will not be healed sufficiently in time.
This is very very bad news. What can be done to make this poor body heal quicker?
OPlease reply and cheer me up.

Pete
I usually find that building a new bike is good when I can't ride. However, this is a little extreme for most.
Any tinkering that you can do ? Cleaning and maintenance is no fun, but playing with things unnecessarily always is ....

I find race organisating just the ticket for a poorly ankle.
I'm having coach, or more accurately shortage of coach, problems with Newport.
Anyone know of an accredited track coach? We can't use the track without one....

Pete can't you build some sort of thing that would strap to the leg instead of foot. (Probably look something like a K drive!).
gnick - how much work is involved in becoming an accredited coach? Not say we could manage it before Newport but it is reasonalbe for the future.

Haven't the faintest how much work. Can't be that difficult, roadies can do it!
Biggest problem is that the coach is NOT allowed to compete, so if we had a racer as coach we would probably need 2, so one is always trackside.

Greetings everybody...
Looking forward to being lapped by my brother at every race again this year... When my daughter laps me it'll be time to start letting tyres down...
I particularly like Newport, with just 250m per lap I get to see lots more of other competitors than usual....

Paul Davies has persuaded one of the accredited coaches in his bike
club (Chippenham Wheelers) to cover for us - phew, I can come out of
hiding again!
