As above really!

Going to "soon" commute into the centre of nottingham and don't feel comfortable doing it on my fuego so looking for something a little higher or possibly a velo.

Interested in just about anything that would fit the bill and wording of "high racer"

Not for sale, but i commute on my Metabike - much better than when i did it on my Low Baron!

Hi,
a friend of mine is thinking about selling his Bacchetta Strada 650c - the bike accepts both 26" and 650c so plenty of tyre choice for commuting.
Also as a stick bike this is quite a bit higher than my 700c performer e.g.
Based in Leeds.

I highly recomend a velomotion scopa stick bike. Mine cost around £1200 all in and it makes a very fast comfortable comuter. If you have some parts lying around or a donor bike you could make it for alot less.

This is a bit belated, but are you still looking for a 'high racer' for commuting?
I have a Future Cycles Streetglider for sale, which gives a high seating position with under-seat steering.
If of any interest let me know and I can send some pics.
Location is near junction 9 of the M5 (north Gloucestershire)
