For the first time ever, we now have a 2nd car! I bought the Borealis mainly to ensure that I can cycle to work all year round, but now I find myself cycling 80% of the time on the Metabike, 10% on the Borealis, and 10% in the car! Soooooo, as she's not getting much use, I'm thinking of selling her, and buying a racing trike such as a Vortex or going back to a Catrike 700. Or I may consider just selling the shell, and keeping the Trice QNT on which she sits. I paid (gulp) £2,800 for the whole setup as I really really wanted a Velo, and the Trice set up is the cheapest way to go, but as I said, she's not getting the use to justify the space she takes up. Overall, the QNT is in superb condition, being kept out of the weather, even in bad weather!

I'm just putting out the feelers, to see if anyone's after such a machine, they do not come up often, and it took me months to get this one. Looking for around £2400 for the whole machine, or £1200 for the shell.

The shell is by no means in mint condition. I replaced the failed old style led lights with strip leds, and covered the subsequent holes with the reflective tape. It has a small but high capacity motorbike battery, which powers side lights, a front led, rear led, horn, indicators, and interior light, which is ideal for when you get in in the dark, or popping on when riding and you want to see the time or what gear you're in. I am not an electrician, and basically set up the electrics by trial and error....everything works, but it's not the prettiest set up!!!

Other than that, the actual trike is pretty standard, Capreo cassettes, twist shifters. Has hamster side pod bags, and I altered the roof so it can be stored inside the body.

I'd consider p/ex against a sporty lightweight trike, or swap just the shell for such a machine. Like I say, just putting it out there, if anyone happens to be after such a machine, pm me, and I'll answer all your questions. Can't seem to upload pics, and photobucket is no longer an option for 3rd party hosting, so here's a vid, and if you give me an email I'll send some piccies!

I’m open to reasonable offers, but I’m assuming what the shells are worth? Cheers, Carl.
