Anyone have a source for a Burrows Windcheetah trike front axle?

Just had the left front axle on my Windcheetah trike fail due to metal fatigue. The ridge that locates the inner bearing acts as a stress riser and after 30+ years use (including some rough roads) the axle clean fractured. I felt something wrong, pulled in to the side of the road, and stepped off the trike. As I released the brakes the front wheel and brake drum quietly fell off, no longer attached to the backplate. A fitting tribute to the passing of Mike Burrows...

Q1: does anyone have an axle (or better a pair as the other one has done as many miles) for sale - or know where I can get one?

Q2: if not, would anyone else be interested in a spare axle to put in their stock of parts for the future if I get a batch made?

Q3: any other good suggestions?

I'm not a regular reader of the forums so if I have missed something relevant please just point me in the right direction. A search of the forums shows nothing.

Thanks for any help,

Russell.

I’d send it back and make a warranty claim. 😉
Or preferably give Kevin at D-Tek a call.
He is on this forum so will probably be along shortly…
