seamless integration of EV/HP

   Are there examples where, in a velo, there was a seamless method implemented to add on a motor/battery/controller when commuting, to keep up with traffic, but also, when needed, quickly taking the heavy EV modules out entirely for workouts and races (let's define 'quickly' as 10 min)? I am thinking a 3+ kW motor, 5 kWH battery + controller -- not something you would want to drag around by pedalling.
