Guy,
Sieran looks fantastic! I can do a swapsie for a well-specced (though in need of TLC) Nazca Fuego. I bought it for £1,200. I’d get it serviced and a new rear tyre before bringing it to you.

If that’s not of interest I’d want to sell the Nazca first before buying a replacement ‘bent.

Could you comment on:
- weight: is it light? OK on hills?
- speed: is it fast, say, similar to the Challenge Fujin? I recall Challenge making a big fuss about the Sieran before they, um, shut up shop.
- if you know about the Nazca, would you say the Sieran is similar or faster?

As for the Nazca
- it’s very fast on the flat - easily outpaces any roadie on his carbon thingy.
- not great uphill (heavy)
- a comfortable ride. I like it a lot. I just want to try something different and faster uphill (I’m moving to hilly Dorset).

All the best
Richard

Hi Richard,

I'm actually exiting the recumbent scene having been riding them since 1996 but got back onto up-wrongs 4 years ago so I can't do a swap. I used the Challenge for commuting but did use it for CTC rides where hills were involved and yes you can ride up a 10% (average) if the legs are on for a 10% hill it's aluminium frame but not the heaviest of bikes at 17.8 Kg. It felt similar to a Hurricane but I think wheel size is a factor as to how fast it feels. If you can swap over to above seat steering the improvement in aerodynamics may get it close to an aluminium Fujian. I swapped out the spring suspension for gas and that improved the weight by >1Kg.

Hi Guy,

I'm in Abingdon. Could I come and have a look? I could do this afternoon / evening if that suits you.
