I have a Metabike with hampster style handlebars. I want to fit a standard Garmin bracket to the bars, but the bars are angled at about 25 degrees away from me. I want to angle the bracket so it is facing me and is better in my line of vision? Has anyone found a way to solve this? Thanks, Adrian

I use velcro on the Garmin and on whatever I want to fix the Garmin to. This has worked on Velombiles and unfaired trikes. Also fixed the Garmin unit to the bars or water bottle fixing with a clamp. Also fixed it onto the bars of a Fujin SL. Main trouble I have is that I'm long sighted so it can be hard for me to read unless I have it well positioned.
I Googled Metabike and there is a YouTube video of a Garmin fitted to a Metabike on the Stem. It is angled.

All the best.
Roy

Thanks Roy, the velcro option looks good. Did you just glue it to the garmin mount. I have not got a cycle computer yet to try and test the best options. I could even put some wedges in to help correct the slant on the bars. I'd rather keep it near the bars as I find the wind noise stops me hearing the direction guidance. I have tried a mobile phone in a carrier but it is not bright enough. Like you I had focusing problems, but since a bilateral cataract operation and having new glasses I can just focus on the bars but hardly any nearer. I can't find the YouTube clip? Adrian

.... I have also tried the mobile phone on my bars, but with the ball and socket fitting it is too close to my eyes to focus on.

I use self adhesive Velcro.
All the best.
