Now only 10 days to go.
Are we using the short track, or the full track, or decide on the day depending on numbers?
Do you know if there will be an area where we could have a display of bikes, like at york?
Also would it be possible to group togeather on the campsite, like we did at Cyclevision?
I'm not 100% decided what time I will be arriving but it will most likley be around mid day saturday (thus I will miss the hot laps on the saturday but I may do them sunday).

I understand the event as a whole (i.e. Bike Radar Live) is using only the short track.  Mike says this is a Good Thing, the full circuit being very hilly.

Yes, there will be an area for the display of machines.

I don't know the arrangements for allocation of camping pitches, I'm afraid.

I'll be posting some more details in the "Events" section, and a notice here that I've done so, soon - not later than this Saturday.

Best to contact Mike if you want to know if it would be a useful addition.  He doesn't do the forum, of course.  I'll PM you his number.

Mike Burrows is organisating the BHPC race at Brands Hatch, but of course he doesn't really do computers.  Is there anyone attending who is familiar with such as the signing-on system who would be prepared to help Mike out with that?

I could help out with the sign on and results. If I get a new 3G stick (my old one decided to die a few weeks ago, my laptop says a USB device has malfunctioned when I plug it in) and there is coverage then I could maybe get the results online by the end of the day.

If the timing system needs transporting from Brands to Lancaster, I can do it. Might give me the chance to familiarise myself with it. Does the laptop go with it?

Yes, to both questions.  Many thanks for that offer.

I'm having trouble signing on to edit the main site to post the promised extra information about next week's race, so I'm putting it here for the moment.

As I hope everyone is already aware, everyone will have to pay for entry to the Bike Radar Live event, though there is lots to see and do, and if you book a weekend ticket camping is included and you can arrive anytime from Friday lunchtime.  You can buy tickets on the gate, but you can save 20% by booking online if you do it before midnight on Monday.  Under 12's are free.  General information about the event is here

In view of the entry fee for the Bike Radar Live event, the usual scale of BHPC race fees (i.e. £7/£10) will not apply.  BHPC members race without any additional charge.  The charge for non-members will be £5.

The BHPC race will start at about 7.30pm on Saturday evening - we have the track once the last of the preceding races finishes.   It will be possible for you to get onto the track for a practice earlier in the day, at times when it is not being used for other races, etc.  You can see when they are here

The start time gives us time for a good-length race (sunset will be about 9.15pm), so long as it gets started promptly.  Please be registered and ready to race well in time for 7.30.  There will be a display area for BHPC machines, making an obvious rendezvous point for finding someone to tell you  exactly where you need to be when.  When registering, be aware that you will be asked to sign BikeRadar's disclaimer as well as the usual BHPC one.

N.B. It would be helpful to speed registration - as well as making absolutely sure that you get a timing tag - if those intending to race would PM me with their name, race number, machine name and classes.  Please do that by midday Thursday.  It's not obligatory, but it would be very helpful.

That's it for now.  Please shout if the combination of the above and the BikeRadar Live website don't give you any information you need.
