The BFPCR have Curborough booked on Saturday, 29th September 2012 for our season closing 150 mile day / night race.

Can I suggest it would be mutually beneficial to both our organisations if the BHPC booked it for the Sunday?

BFPCR get:

Relieved of the need to be off the racing area on the Saturday night.
We could camp in the track centre, do our presentations there and be away in the morning.
Possibility of pedal cars joining in the HPV race on the Sunday.

BPCC get:

Free camping the night before.
Invitation to join our end of season BBQ
Access to circuit from whenever they want it in the morning.
Possibility of pedal cars joining in the HPV race on the Sunday.

Just a thought.

Sounds good to me!
Thumbs Up

Might also give some BHPC folks that haven't tried it before the chance to have a go at Pedal Car racing - Be warned though... it's addictive... Big smile

Should add: Curborough gets booked up very quickly, you have to book it over a year in advance!

The cars can join certainly, but will the riders be up for it (after their race)??Dead

edit/ on reflection, ours is a stroll in the park Tongue.

Big smile

These will mostly be the same riders who will have done the 24 hour race earlier in the year so a normal 45 minute BHPC race won't be any different to getting up at Shenington having grabbed a few hours kip and doing another stint in the car...

Nice to be able to camp the night before after a long drive. Will be fun to have some new faces to race with. Let's hope it's not booked yet. Maybe Miles can do both races in his Quattro if it is pedal car legal?.

well, if it does come work out, which i doubt somehow as isn't that date around the time of our AGM?  I won't be there, as WB can't get around that hairpin, and i'm not willing to take the Quest....

It will definitely not be the same weekend as the BHPC AGM unless somebody else is secretary by then...

The pedal cars don't use that hairpin Ian - They use the bottom circuit and go the opposite way round to BHPC...

And when it gets dark they turn on their lights and keep going for an hour or so... Great fun! Big smile

Yes you can avoid it by using the shorter (600m) circuit.

We go the same way round as the cars - clockwise.

Why would you want to avoid the hairpin? - that's the fun bit Smile
