Those who attended Hillingdon 2, may remember the upright trike rider, Geoff Booker, who competed in the 'slow race'.  I know he mentioned to a number of people the THE 2013 TRICYCLE ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL TRICYCLE CHALLENGE, being run at Fowlmead in Kent, on Sunday June 2nd. Full details and entry forms can be found via homepage links on Geoff's business website:

http://www.trykit.com/

Just a bit of background. This event has been running annually for many years on a host rotation involving Belgium, France and UK. I have ridden several times in the French event where recumbent trikes have been welcomed in the Time Trial, although competing in a separate class.

This will be the first occasion that the Brits have specifically invited Recumbent riders, although limited to Unfaired Trikes. Having ridden with a tailbox previously in the French event, I suspect that this will be permitted in the Fowlmead event.
But it would be wise to check with Geoff.

I shall ride the event - I hope not to be lonely!

This message will be posted on the British Human Power Forum.

I notice on the entry form it says: "Note for recumbent entries: Only un-faired machines allowed."
So does that mean you can ride a faired upright trike?
Current fleet: Milan SL MK2 #027, Fujin SL II, Beany!

Just a reminder about this event open to unfaired (although a tail box will be OK) trikes and hand-cycles and upwrong trikes too. Sunday 2nd June at Fowlmead. 3 events on the day. Entry forms and full details of the weekend to be found at http://www.trykit.com/

Hope to see some of you there.....

Cheers,

Alan Braley

Just remembered this event, while I can't make the full weekend I can make the Sunday!  So I will be naked wobblying, unless I can cobble a tailbox together over the next week or so, then I will be semi naked!

Hope i'm not too late to apply!

EDIT:  Just looked at web site, there is a start list sheet for the time trial etc, looks like i'm too late, I also don't see any BHPC racers on the list!
