Sadly I am a bit poo at webby stuff... Evidence of this can be found by clicking on the "Shop" button on the main BHPC web site...

As you all know the Shop has been closed for a long time now, and the club has been losing much-needed funds because of this...

A basic shop is now there with just one item in it at the time of writing this... A standard membership at £15...

Other items will be added over the next few days.

The shop is very clearly a work in progress and hopefully it will improve as soon as somebody who knows what they are doing gets their hands on it...

In the meantime I'll do what I can with it...

You can now find books (including some autographed by a couple of HPV legends...) in the shop...

You can now purchase a copy of Human Power The Forgotten Energy by Arnfried Schmitz in the BHPC online shop, along with autographed books by Richard Ballantine and Mike Burrows...

Christmas shopping has never been easier... Big smile

Splendid effort by all concerned and a good revenue-raiser for the club Clap. 'Human Power, The Forgotten Energy' is a good read and as eccentric as the club! Small point - Richard Balantine is spelt Balantyne above the City Cycling picture.

By the way, I am hoping that we will be able to add some more products soon incuding clothing...
All these things rely on having somebody willing to distribute the products of course...

If anybody has any other ideas for (relevant) stuff we could sell, and would be willing to source and/or distribute please let me know...

I am toying with the idea of sticking classified ads on the shop for members only... You would just need to send me a picture and a few words and I could bung the items in a "Classifieds" section... No payment could be taken through the shop for any such items and obviously the club would have no part in negotiating prices or any responsibility for the accuracy of descriptions...

Anybody think that's worth doing? Is it something you want??
Looking at the admin panel for the shop somebody has actually searched on there for a recumbent bike... Wacko

I think this would be a very good idea, but you would probably need some sort of disclaimer shrugging off any responsibility for, the info contained in the add and so on?

If you do decide to go ahead with this; I would like to add my HP Velotechnik Street Machine GTe to the listing; which is posted for sale here:

Take care,
Barry ;-)

Job done Barry - Your bike is now the first Classified Ad in the shop... Please have a look and let me know if there are any problems.
Please let me know when it sells so that I can remove it.

If anybody else has anything they want to sell (only BHPC relevant stuff please) send me the details and a picture and I'll get it in the shop...

Alan
