Do we have a race organiser for Castle Coombe??

As for me - don't think I will be there so ... need someone to use the software, etc.

I'm planning to be there in time for the race but may be a little late arriving...
 
The pedal car race at Bruntingthorpe finishes at midnight on the Saturday so I'm hoping to grab some sleep in the van and then drive straight down to Castle Coombe from there...

I can look after the timing & race app ("software" is a bit turn-of-the-century, no?) if someone else can get the equipment (inc club laptop) there and take it away at the end.

I think Twed currently has the timing system, having collected it from gNick...
I wouldn't want to take it away as I'm not sure I'm going to get to Quibell Park...

Yes, Twed very kindly picked up the timing system from gNick whilst he was up his way at Easter.

Details of access to the Castle Combe circuit are confirmed as we will be using the "Competitors' Entrance" from the B4039, as we have done for the last several visits.  See map for its location.

As Alan says, we still have a vacancy for the role of organisator.  And as I've said many times, if you want to race regularly, that's something you should be prepared to do.  PM me if you're thinking about it but have any worries you want to clear up.

Reading some of the requirements for an organiser e.g. starting race, starting stop watches, stopping race, stop watches etc, preclude a racer doing the organisoring at a mass start 1 race meeting, unless they want to be last to get away, and finish the race early.
