Only two weeks to go and no sign of any better offers to organise so...

Racing at Hillingdon will be as follows:

Registration/signing on will start at around 10am and will close at 11am

The first race will start at 11:30am

Race 1: Slow Race part one - Anti-clockwise, 30 minutes + 1 Lap

Race 2: Fast Race part one - Anti-clockwise, 30 minutes + 1 Lap

We'll have a bit of a break to give everybody an opportunity to have a look around the track in the opposite direction...
We may also need to move the start/finish line a little...

Race 3: Slow Race part two... Clockwise, 30 minutes + 1 Lap

Race 4: Fast Race part two... Clockwise, 30 minutes + 1 Lap

The two parts of the race will count equally towards your overall result...

Racing will cost £7 for members and £10 for non-members.
You can renew your membership (or join the club) here.
You can also pay your race fees at a reduced rate for the whole season here.

Does anybody know who has the race equipment (flags/bell/laptop etc) and whether it is likely to get to Hillingdon??

Do we have anybody willing to act as First Aider for this event??

All offers of help will be geatly appreciated...

I've got all the non-electronic kit, and we're coming.

Thanks Adrian,

Are we likely to have access to the clubhouse?
It is looking like we may not have the timing system/laptop.
I can bring a laptop along but I haven't got a car charger for it so a power supply would be good.

I'm going to need a copy of the race software as well of course...

Yes, we should, and I've been sent instructions on how to get in this time.

AFAIK gNick has the electronic kit.  He's probably the best source for the latest version of the software too (he should know if any work has been done on it)

I've been in touch with gNick and he has a problem with his back and so is unlikely to be coming unfortunately... We will therefore probably be relying on good old fashioned stopwatches and manual lap counting...

I'll check I've got the stopwatches then - and that they work...

There's one other job for which it would be nice if there were a volunteer.

Is there someone - possibly one of the more local people - who would be prepared to take responsibility for picking up the keys, opening the gates and locking-up afterwards?   Since I may  yet be driving down from York that morning, you probably don't all want to be waiting for me to arrive.  I have full instructions on the procedures, which I'll forward.

Hey, how 'bout we all club together and help Alan out with the organising at Hillingdon, so that he has time to race his bike as well?

He deserves it after the incredible amount of hard work he has put into the club over the last few years Thumbs Up
