I built up this Hurricane as an all-weather tourer in 2023, with the idea that it would fit in my Saab 96 and I could take it somewhere and go for a cycle. I’ve done that exactly once since, hence the sale. Asking price is £550; collection from Bath, or I can take it to London early next month. For more photos please see the eBay listing.

 

Frame number: 2593

Frame material: aluminium

Wheel base: 96cm

Rims: Schürmann EuroLine 406-19

Tyres: Continental contact Urban 32-406 (new)

Rear hub: SRAM S7 7-speed gear hub with new 19T cog and new Sturmey Archer shifter (the derailleur acts only as a chain tensioner, an MTB chain tensioner wasn’t strong enough for the long chain)

Front hub: SRAM i-light D3-series hub dynamo

Brakes: Magura HS33 hydraulic rim brakes with new blocks

Lights: Busch + Müller (new)

Mirror: Busch + Müller (new)

Chain: SRAM PC850 (new)

Seat pad: Ventisit

Kick stand: ESGE/ Pletscher

Rack bag: AGU Sport

Pedals: flat/ SPD


All "new" parts were fitted when I built up the bike, and have been used less than 50 miles.

If you prefer a sportier bike with a derailleur set-up, I'd be happy to sell it without the wheels, shifter and chain tensioner, and lights ,and give you a £100 discount.
