I found a crack in my carbon fujin SL fork today
so I need to get a new one. I'm happy to take a carbon or Ali fork as I may convert to disk brakes. Please PM me if you have one up for grabs. Cheers Graham

Can we have a few more details. length of steerer required, what bearings (aheadset? 1 1/8? 1"?)
I have a carbon fork that i've recently cut down and is fitted for 1 1/8" aheadset, it has shimano ultegra short reach brakes permanently (bonded) fitted. Ian

Thanks Yanto although I'm pretty sure I need long reach callipers, it has a long reach trp925 on it at the moment.I'll check the dimensions etc tonight.

The Fujin SL1 Carbon fork has a 1" steerer, wheel size is 406 (20") and needs long reach callipers, though you can get adaptors to fit standard callipers.
I hope this helps. Take care, Barry ;-)

Thanks Barry, it won't fit then, also the penny dropped that it is for a Fujin, the fork i've got is not for a 406 wheel.

How Do Graham n' Martin ;-)
If you are prefering the carbon fork Grahwm, and if martin was happy for me to buy his alloy one, I would let you have my carbon one if you still wanted it? Or if you prefer the alloy one then no worries either way :-) Take care, Barry ;-) |

TBH guys I'm easy, the alloy fork would let me fit disk brakes but the carbon fork would be cheaper for me to get fixed ( no need to get a new wheel made up etc. ).
BTW here's a picture of the crack it's at the junction of the carbon and the alloy headset bit. Barry if I go for your fork could you check the same area, make sure it's OK? |
