I am swapping the Young Lady’s Micro to 349, probably with at least some kit (e.g. rims, tyres) purchased in Oz during an upcoming trip. There are 3 Greenspeed Scorcher alternatives and 2 Tru-Blu options for sale. Do any of them have folding beads?

I guess the 120 tpi Scorcher and Tru-Blu choices are the fastest and have enough puncture resistance to allow road riding. Does anybody know which is fastest?

Will they ok for a reasonable distance or (if she takes the trike to PBP) should she have shiny fresh tyres to be sure of getting round 1200km without seeing canvas?

I'd go with Tru-Blu 120. I have one on my P-38. It's more robust than a Scorcher 120.

It turned out that the Scorcher 120tpi were in stock in Oz and TruBlu 120tpi were not. Steel bead was the only option, it seems.
