My mate’s Alpha7 looks to have a too-big seat. The “L” on the underside suggests it is a ‘large’ (Velomobileworld mentions four different seats) while he is definitely quite short.
The moulded neck rest support contacts the back of his helmet (mandatory in Oz) and his shoulders have a gap to the pad, which doesn’t look right at all.

What size folk fit the various Alpha7 seats?

Is there any opportunity to swap seats with somebody wanting a ‘large’ to replace their ‘small’, if that is what we are looking for?

I've found the A7 seating very strange, the first one I had was medium, it was ok but I had to make brackets at the back to drop the seat angle to stop recumbent butt.  Current one is Large which suits me better and fixes without adaptation, although I made new mounts at the front to bring the seat as far forward as possible.

For both seats I fixed a carbon fibre plate to the top of the seat to stop it digging into my shoulder blades.

I'm 176 cm with long torso and short(er) legs.

Sizing is very haphazard, ideally a dealer needs to be approached who has a range of seats to try, impossible without that dealer network.

I guess a good place to ask would be the manufacturer: info@velomobileworld.com, giving height, x-seam and inseam, they would be best placed to advise.

A short guy has adapted his A7 using spacers to mount the back of the seat, this would also provide room for a helmet.

As far as I know, this is the only Alpha7 in Oz, so a dealer visit would involve a long trip.

Interestingly, this A7 came with a spare seat, also L.

Thanks for all your assistance, this is a big learning curve for both Aussie George and me.
