We've got an impressive turnout from people on handcycles, and a number of new riders, so it looks like most of the regulars are going to end up in the 'fast' race.

Hi All,
Rob Womack has been talking to the folks at Colchester to clarify the parking situation:
On arrival we have to enter car registrations into a machine in the cafe.
However that only gives 4 hours free parking so we will need to remember to go back in and re-enter the reg again later in the day!

Okay, I've uploaded results from the electronic timing system at http://www.bhpc.org.uk/Data/Sites/1/media/events/events22/01colchester/index.html

Let me know if you see any issues.

The main problem at this point is the rubbish data due to lack of tag reads for William Tulett in the 40min fast race.  (He moved his tags to somewhere less blocked by carbon fibre for the second race.)  So if anyone can give us clues as to his lap count and finish position that would help tremendously.

There were many missed reads for the first couple of laps of the 40 minute slow race due to my own incompetence (I disabled the wrong antenna as a work-around for reading tags on the far side of the track), but the software has extrapolated sensible numbers, and I don't think anyone stopped during that time.

Otherwise, I'm pleased to report the shiny new timing laptop performed well, both in terms of responsiveness and ease of reading the screen (the old one was rather dim, which was troublesome in bright sunlight).  The extra computing power means we were able to use the integrated video-capture software (which grabs a couple of seconds of video centred on each tag read, indexed by race time and rider details so you don't have to spool through a tedious video of the whole race).  This has already allowed us to disambiguate two close finishes.

I'll do the points tables tomorrow.  I'm knackered!
