This is the place for discussion about the 12th round of the 2017 BHPC races on the 1.4 km cycle track at Stourport Sports Club

First and foremost we need volunteers to help organise, and pick race formats. So if any of you can help, please let me know.

Can we have some volunteers to help with race organising and to decide on race formats at Stourport please?

I'm planning to come to this one on my own, and as I have never raced at Stourport before plus have the quirks of the Notsolow Leaper to handle on my ownsome, don't think I'll be much use as an organisator  this time.

On another note, I'll likely come up the night before in the campervan, anyone got a site they're planning to stay at?

I'll organise if no-one else wants to.
I suggest 30mins each way, faster and slower, 4 races in total (completely dependent numbers)

If anyone wants to help out that would be great, whether you've done it before or not.

Heather

Thanks Heather!

Its always good to have two organisers for a race whenever possible.
So if someone else could also offer to chip in and give Heather a helping hand please let me or heather know....

Dennis and I will provide first aid cover. Could be busy with heavy rain predicted and the usual problems at the back hairpin!

if the downhill hairpin looks a bit too dicey in the wet, don't forget there's scope to run a shorter circuit and use the tamer hairpin in the middle of the track

That might be a good plan...

Many thanks Andrew!
Thanks to Heather and helpers for some excellent organising and managing to get finished before the rain came back!

A bit of video from today - First couple of laps in both directions. I had planned to race the Wasp but with the forecast of heavy rain and 30MPH gusts I went for the safe but slower option... In the end the weather wasn't that bad. https://youtu.be/oFnmW0I07_o" rel="nofollow - https://youtu.be/oFnmW0I07_o
