Don't forget the Solihull Fun Day on the 6th August... FREE OF CHARGE!! Joint venture between BHPC and the Pedal Car Club... Bring along anything human powered and have a play on the nice smooth track there. Have a look around the park. Depending on how many people turn up we will run some fun races and there will be some other games that Steph Mills is organising. Should be a great day out.... https://www.facebook.com/events/1802904073333807/" rel="nofollow - https://www.facebook.com/events/1802904073333807/

Yep - it's at the track at Tudor Grange Park.
We have the track all day.
Steph Mills of the pedal car club is organising some fun games and depending on who turns up we can have some races - bring a picnic and cross your fingers for the weather!

Any more for this event folks??
Responses (or lack of) here and on Facebook are making it look like it may not be worthwhile Steph travelling all the way from Bournemouth to organise so please let us know on here or on the BHPC/Pedal Car Facebook groups if you are coming... Will be making a decision later in the week.

It will be a shame if we don't support it. Can you post on here if it's cancelled please Alan as I don't do FB.

Thanks

Stuart

Thanks Brian,
I think we have about 8 or 9 people committed to come along at the moment - It would be good to see what people think of it as a possible BHPC race venue (bearing in mind that the track is FREE for clubs to hire for events).
We'll check the weather forecast later in the week and decide whether it's worth going ahead. I have the track booked anyway of course but Steph who is organising will have to travel up from Bournemouth so really hoping for a few more...
This is the track (as seen from a pedal car of course) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwodX37voqw&t=82s" rel="nofollow - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwodX37voqw&t=82s

Hi Alan,

Has a decision been made regarding Sunday yet? Don't mean to hassle you but the SWMBO wants to know if I am around for Sunday dinner.

Sorry to hear that, thanks for your efforts Steph and Alan. Perhaps we can think about using the track as a future race venue?

I think so, especially as the track is free. Only downside there is that the facilities are a bit of a walk away in the sports centre.
Would be worth a try though.

Whether anybody would turn up is another matter of course!!
