First race of the season and your first chance to see if all the hard work in the gym (HA!!) and the workshop have paid off...

Any offers of help with organising will be welcome...

The first race of the year is usually fairly busy with membership renewals as well as race entry...
If you are planning to renew your membership please get there in plenty of time... If you could bring the correct amount of money (or a cheque) that would be helpful as change is sometimes in short supply... You can of course join or renew via the online shop before the event.... Standard adult membership is still just £15 and we now have the option of e-membership (no paper magazine, download only) at a ridiculously cheap £6 - http://shop.bhpc.org.uk/bhpc-membership" rel="nofollow - http://shop.bhpc.org.uk/bhpc-membership

If you're new to racing please have a quick look at the rules here... http://www.bhpc.org.uk/Events/2014/rules-and-classes.aspx" rel="nofollow -
12:15pm: "Fast" race - 30 minutes + 1 lap Anti-Clockwise

1:30pm: "Slow" race - 30 minutes + 1 lap Clockwise

2:15pm: "Fast" race - 30 minutes + 1 lap Clockwise.
Points will be awarded equally for clockwise and anticlockwise races...

'Bruvver Dave' beat me in round 1 (by about 2 feet). As to where we were in relation to anyone else I have no clue!

Good average in the second race by Derrick - 274 mph! Not bad considering he hasn't done much training over the winter.

I'm pretty sure Karl didn't lap me in either race, although my speed looks about right. Too many laps for Karl?

We did change that at Hillingdon so no idea why it's reverted... :o)

I've just changed Twed's time again but that puts him behind Ian P and Mike... I assume he needs another lap??

He was ahead of Ian in both races I think. Could Karl's lap count be right if he crossed the line late - I'm too tired to work it out?

Not sure - Can anyone confirm please?? I've updated Twed and Sam...

Thinking about it Karl did cross the line fairly late as he went over just before Slash I believe.

Karl never passed me in the first race , but gave me a scare in the second when he fought me napping:)

2nd race Twed was about half a lap ahead of me, Slash overtook me coming to the finish to get the flag, so Twed needs 1 more lap.

Hi, I think I (#21) actually did 11 laps in slow race 2; well that's what my Garmin reckons and that would put me just behind James (#70) which is where I think I finished ...

I've sent the Spreadsheet to Andrew for final tweaking and publication of the final results, so any further amendments ASAP please...

Think I've got an extra lap in slow race one I shouldn't have.

I didn't lap Geoff (although I would have liked to)

And I was behind Neil (hotta) as I didn't have the legs to keep up with him, sorry for the fright :-)

Thank you for a nice opener to the season, good to see everyone after the winter.
Just make me realise I need to do more training :-)

Much enjoyed chatting and photographing at Hillingdon, though seeing you guys lapping the circuit with such frequency leaves me feeling distinctly unfit...!

Thanks to all for answering my questions and adding to my knowledge of the sport, it's always fascinating seeing the variety of machinery in action and I look forward to another visit in due course.

Mr Burrows insists his latest Infernal Device is called 'X' and further insists that those bounders at Aston Martin have pinched the name for their nasty new SUV contraption. Hence it is my contention that http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/heres-who-aston-martin-hopes-10941228" rel="nofollow - Mr Burrows should henceforth be known as "Charlotte" .

The photos from RC-soar are always very, very well taken and edited - it looked like a good race. Sorry I missed it - I'd signed up to the Tour of Flanders before the dates were announced for the BHPC races. 86miles of tarmac and cobbled roads around Oudenaard in Belgium, a great event on the saturday before the pro event on the sunday.  Very well organised, 16,000 riders, although this did mean that two of the steep cobbled hills were so busy that everyone had to walk up...

Aha! Good to see Munster back in action, and Neil seems to have mastered him, judging from the photos.

Can go faster, I reckon... other trikies had better get training!!

Sorry folks - Looks like I got the split of the races wrong... Lots of people asking to be in the slow race and not possible to put everyone in it.

Tarquin and Marc will definitely be promoted to the fast race in October though!!!
