Hi
ex member of BHPC is selling an Optima Baron Discus. Modded with carbon seat, ventiseat pad. Also changed chain control pulleys and renewed the steerer (it snapped, think about it...fortunately not at speed!)
Selling with regret, it's a lovely bike, manageable on the road with reasonable foot / front wheel geometry and good handling / braking.
I need the dosh as I am trying to compete in gliding instead. And I really don't want to sell my ICE trike.
As we're based at Lasham airfield (near Basingstoke) anyone interested can get a good off - road trial on high quality tarmac with no traffic...
I am looking for about £500, it's not showroom but is in very good condition. Never crashed. Would love to see it go to a good home.
G
PS also have a tail bag for it in storage somewhere that I should be able to find

I think the Baron only comes in one size?
It will have an adjustable boom but me and Dave test rode one before we bought the Hurricanes way back in 2004 and found that we struggled because of pedal/front wheel overlap...

So if you are vertically challenged like me (under 5ft 6ins) it may not be for you... especially if you intend to use it for anything other than racing on a track...

Short cranks may have resolved it of course but we hadn't met Mike then... LOL
