Hi Bob

The chain guard in my understanding is the bash ring and the piping that covers almost all of the chain to be that guard,  but having searched around on the ICE website I guess you were meaning the big lump of metal going around the rings.  It doesn't have that!

I didn't know much about Tektro brakes before using them myself either, but at 99kg they had no problem stopping me at any point or at any speed and so I was very happy with them.  The brake model is the Tektro Volans,  with 160mm rotors.

The entire drive train is SRAM, X7 front mech and rear derailleur.  170mm Truvitiv powered by SRAM cranks.  X5 shifters, 18 speed.  Not sure on the specific ratios but it has a Granny ring and my legs barely made it past the middle point, but thats what a spinal cord injury will do to you.

Rear parking brake is an Avid single digit v brake.
