Apologies ladies and gents for the fact that my first post on here is a for sale advert.  My wife and I have owned a few recumbents since she bought her first trike 10 years ago so it really shouldn't have taken me quite this long to sign up.

Anyway we have decided to sell our ICE/Trice Explorer tandem.

We purchased it from its original owners nearly 5 years ago and have had a lot of enjoyment out of it since then, if you have been to any Tandem Club rallies lately you'll probably know this trike already.  Only selling now because we have 3 tandems in the garage and really need to rationalise a bit, the Trice is going as its the one which seems to see the least use these days.

It has just had a complete refit including a shot-blast and powder-coat by Kinetics of Glasgow.
Gearing is Shimano 3x9 with DuraAce bar end shifters and Deore mechs.
Drive and timing chains are new.
Hope Closed 2 brakes have been refurbished with new seals.
Front hubs are Hope, rear hub is Shimano Deore.
Schwalbe Tryker’s at the front, Big Apple at the rear.
2 ratchet operated parking brakes fitted, one pilot operated, the other stoker operated.
Highly adjustable, we have used it with a 6’1” stoker and a 7yr old stoker.
Double panier rack, able to carry 2 large and 2 small paniers.
New seat pads (not fitted at the time when the photos were taken)
Comes with aluminum roof rack and ramps as shown in photo.

Asking £2600 for the trike and the roof carrier/ramps.  The bike is located in Newcastle, test rides welcome.

Probably doesn’t need saying given the size of the trike, but someone always asks; no postage, collection only sorry folks.
