We are talking about Battle Mountain, not "practicable" vehicles. Trisled proved that being a bit further off the deck is faster. Gareth was able to drive the trike into the parking lot, so the turning circle wasn't bad, despite wheel spats. Could probably have gone faster with less. Current record is held by the camera version, but this was the previous. https://trisled.com.au/hpv/avatar-2/

I have found an article in the spring 2002 BHPC magazine which looks at laminar flow. The author is Richard Brooks, who I'm not familiar with. Does anyone know if he is still around and does anyone have contact details?

Thanks
Russ

You/ we should start a list of good, bad or other ideas to create a knowledge base. People that have been to battle mountain and talked to the teams. People who have been around recumbents, model aeroplanes, gliders etc
