Hello everyone,

the next world championships will take place in France in the Jura region (East).
Dates: 15th - 17th of July 2022

The event is still at early stages but it should take the following format:

- uphill race (2 heats of ~3km)
- sprints 200m and km
- Criterium 100km

Accommodation will be at the sport centre on the banks of the lake: http://www.bellecin.com/

I'll keep updating this page as more details emerge.

Cheers
Marc

And the brand new teaser video is ready

Since you expect up to 60 racers at Hillingdon, I guess there could be at least 20 from GB in France next year Wink

Registrations are now open!

Keep in mind that registrations for races are separated from registrations for accommodation and meals.

All the relevant information is there:

Thanks for sharing.

Does anyone know what medical certificate they need? Is a British cycling race licence enough?

Hello,

the medical certificate form is online on the site :https://www.afvelocouche.fr/world-championships-2022-2/registrations/

If you have a cycling race license it will do, simply download it on the registration site.

Hello,

the event is less than 100days away now, we are still expecting a lot of participants from over the Channel!

This is the uphill race road...to be climbed twice remember!

Cheers
Marc

according to my latest figures, only 1 Brit has registered so far for the event.
Sun, lake, cheese, wine and nice roads, what's not to like ? Embarrassed
Hope to see you in July.

It is a very expensive journey from the UK when looking at the cost of fuel and the massive increase in ferry costs compared to last time in 2019, plus all the extra insurance costs and red tape associated with us leaving the EU.
