Sadly the York Cycle Rally isn't running this year. As a volunteer-run not-for-profit organisation, earlier this year they decided not to take the financial risk of committing to an event that might be cancelled or poorly attended due to Covid restrictions. On the plus side, this means that there should be a sufficiency of alternative accommodation in and around York that weekend.

I have a vague memory of having to pay for parking at York, is that correct or did I dream it? I ask as I have no cash at all, sounds daft but I haven't used cash since March last year.
EDIT: answered my own question with the FAQ answers

York race timings:
We are able to use the track between 1.30pm and 5pm. If you have pre-booked you can register that you are there from 12.30 in an area outside the track. Details of race formats will be in an email sent in the next couple of days to those booked Racing will probably include a shortish race (15-20 minutes) and a longer race, 40 minutes, both probably split into faster and slower riders. As ever, we reserve the right to change this on the day to suit the circumstances, weather etc. If you want to race but haven't yet booked you can do so until 12 noon on Thursday 17th June via the BHPC shop.

Has any one found a campsite or hotel to stay in York or Scunthorpe?

hotels around York all seemed expensive. Premier Inn near Scunthorpe was much cheaper (it was £35 per night earlier this week). John Williams are staying there Friday and Saturday. About 40 mile main road drive to York circuit on Saturday morning.

Here are the race timings and formats for York on Sat 19th Jun . Those who have registered to race check you emails tomorrow as you will have been sent a pdf with additional venue and covid-related info.
NOTE: the above race times and formats and timings may be subject to change
on the day depending on numbers attending and the weather. We have a tight turnaround
for these races on the track, so, depending on numbers there is a possibility
that the longer 40 minute race may be run with all riders in a single race
together.

The results for today's races at York are now available in the usual place on the BHPC website: The only obvious problem that I can see immediately is Geoff Bird's apparent completion of only two laps in the second (45-minute) race. If anyone can shed any light on what actually happened then I am happy to update accordingly. The points tables will take a little longer and aren't likely to be posted until after tomorrow's event at Scunthorpe.
