Hi , I'm new to this forum and involved in designing and making bamboo framed bikes, recumbent and hopefully later a trike . I'm having trouble at the moment with a long wheelbase recumbent that is to unstable and not stiff enough,. So I'm rebuilding the frame with bigger diameter bamboo, but lack experience of good steering design Trail distance et cetera and wonder if there is anyone in the South East of England i.e. near Brighton who has experience of this and could advise.. ?
Are there any drawings available that I could draw inspiration and experience from? thanks Finn Kennedy PS one day I will learn how to put photos on the forum!

Hi Finn, You wouldn't have been able to post pictures as all new accounts are moderated to prevent spam. I've changed that now so you should be able to post pictures. |

Hi Alan, thanks for your message and advice on photos. I wasn't even aware of the block , I'm just not familiar with resizing pics to the right size yet, (i'll get a grandchild to show me!) so failed to get a pic to fit. Hoping someone local has an interest in Building HPVs.
Thanks for your work for the Club. Best wishes, Finn

No problem, If you are on Facebook it will be worth joining our group and asking on there too - It tends to be more active than this forum much of the time these days... https://www.facebook.com/groups/britishhumanpowerclub/ |
