message from Chris hamilton re tomorrows racing

Tomorrow's weather will be too wet for us to be able to use the Knowsley velodrome, so

BHPC racing on sunday 2nd June will now also be at Preston. Racing from10-3pm

The rain started at 9am anyway. Some of us are milling about but it doesn't look like sign-on's happening until 10.

Yes Kim, I was horrified at the state of my bike after the Saturdays racing when I was packing up. There was about 10 mm of grit and black stuff on top of the suspension fork alone. I wondered whey there was such horrible noise when braking and realised that it was the grit grinding away my wheel rims. I was worried to repeat the wear to my bike. That was the reason I was a no show on the Sunday plus my crap performance on the Saturday and worry how I would be to drive home. Which turned out fine in fact. I would have risked the Velodrome because I have more heart rate control on a level track but my confidence was shot for Preston at that moment.

Seemed to have bought the wet weather back with me. Been raining all day here!

All the best.
Roy

It's mostly down to Barney successfully pressing a button while yelling through a small window. And everyone's tags working flawlessly.

Slash stopped to put his chain back on during the final race, just to confuse the algorithm a bit (it decided that it must have missed a read and he'd cranked out an extra lap at ludicrous speed), but that was easily corrected and about as complicated as it got.
