This is the place for discussion about the 6th round of the 2017 BHPC races at Marsh Tracks Cycling Centre in Rhyl.

First and foremost we need volunteers to help organise, and choose race formats. So if any of you can help with this, please let me know

At Rhyl the track is available from 11am onwards so for whoever is takes on the role of organising I suggest we start sign-on from 11:00 and racing from noon-ish

I'm happy to help organise tomorrow if needed. I managed to crack a rib last weekend so I think I'll only be at Rhyl tomorrow and not Shrewsbury on sun - I'll see how I feel after the race tomorrow...

Thanks for a great days racing yesterday - Rhyl is definitely my favourite track, and it's good fun with everyone racing at once.
I had a great first 20min race beating Andrew Jochen and Chris for the first time in years, and nearly surprising Mike on the line, and then a terrible second 1hr race where legs felt dead, I couldn't get heart rate over 155bpm, and I just went backwards...and that was 20mins in with 40mins left to go... they were 40 hard minutes!
Sorry I missed today at Shrewsbury, although I did get the bathroom destroyed with only minor injuries sustained to self to add to the patchy sunburn from yesterday...
Russ

Thanks to everyone who attended, spectated, participated and/or organisated at Rhyl on Saturday.
Its a massively wide track with massive corners, so no need to put any strain on the brake blocks until after the chequered flag and the weather was gorgeous. First time I've ever been, but I loved it. Its like Fowlmead, but without the hills (or the cafĂ©).

Thank you Johhny Appleby for doing a sterling job of organising. Thanks to Ian Squires for driving all the way their in a massive camper van, just so it could be used as a race sign-on kiosk and a big thank you to Andrew and Heather for all the electronic timelordery stuff...

I am sure Chris was ahead of me in this race, unless he stopped on the way and I have not seen him!

The final results for Rhyl are now available on the BHPC website along with the post-Rhyl Championship Tables. The e-timing results are also available for you to relive the excitement of the second race.

Unfortunately the Timelord suffered an attack of The Vapours and failed to operate the timing system in a timely manner, hence there are no e-timing results for the first race.
