Thank you to the Sidwell / Coulson / Tweddle tribe for their efforts in organising today's swimming with bicycles event, the effort put in to allow the masochists to race all together as one cadaver of fools was very much appreciated.

It was a tough job but someone had to do it, sitting in the warm and dry watching the rest of you out there enjoying yourselves. Watching the little dots going round on the timing system screen wouldn't have been half so much fun without you.

Seriously, you are all heroes and I much appreciate having such crazy people in the club.

Many thanks to the organisers for today's 50min slow & fast (but mostly slow) race - a spectacularly wet and mucky track resulting in some very dirty competitors and bikes at the end - a few photos here: http://s1024.photobucket.com/user/russellbridge/library/BHPC%20Preston%202016-04

I think I saw Mr Bird taking some of the actual race?

I'm happy, and not a little relieved, to say that the data-gathering from the new timing system today was very successful, as well as providing entertainment for those stuck inside the timing hut on such a lovely day. I'll be posting some pretty graphs of people's lap times here in the next day or two, once I've found a way to get it out of the rather inscrutable software.

Thanks once again to the warm and dry for organizing the mad and foolish and allowing us to race, for me the race started off badly I did the usual start wobble correct but the wobble was a bit extreme and the correct a bit too heavy handed so my handlbars assumed a vertical as opposed to a horozontal plane ( oooh ! matron using big technical words  ) so I tried to correct it in one move whilst still in motion which sent me to the right and heading for the fence I managed to get things eventualy right and proceeded to do my usual catch up routine at one stage coming behind Brian Robinson and James Hamilton on his KMX and the moving triple fountain that he was creating each time I came close to overtake I got an early bath, also my mirror kept falling down so was left wondering when Slash and Derrek would be coming by with only a couple of seconds warning, all in all a good race even if I did get a very soggy bottom, sorry no photo's ( not of my soggy bottom anyway, not a pretty sight when its dry ) this time partly because we were all in it together and the fact that it rained, sorry !.
